There are a few steps that one needs to follow while applying for APS certificates. APS is mandatory for applying for a Germany Student visa starting from the summer semester of 2023 and the winter semester of 2023 onwards.
1) The first step is to register on the APS website. You will find that option while going on the APS website which is aps-india.de
2) After clicking on registration a new page will open in which first you need to create your account by creating a username and password of your choice. After which you need to add your scanned photo of not more than 30kb.
3) Further you need to enter your 10thdetails and 12th details and your bachelor details and grades. If you can provide your student login id and password of your university portal and your bachelor professor mail then the process becomes faster as the APS can easily verify your details.
4) After giving all these details, remember if you are going for a bachelor’s in Germany you need to give TESTAS and provide the score while applying for APS. So better give the exam first and then apply to APS.
5) It is not mandatory to provide IELTS OR GERMAN language proficiency for APS, if you have already given these exams before applying provide these details while applying. APS asks for these certificates voluntarily. IT IS NOT COMPULSORY!!!!
6) There are two payment options right now OFFLINE AND ONLINE. Both are good, if you choose offline you first need to pay the 18000/- INR to APS bank details and then select that offline payment in the last section of the registration form and submit. If you select online then the CC Avenue portal will open, pay the fee of 18000 INR. For offline payment, you will get a payment confirmation mail from APS online. The payment will directly show in your portal. SO DON’T WORRY IF PAYMENT DOESN’T SHOW IF YOU DO OFFLINE PAYMENT.
7) Now courier all the documents along with the Student Authorization letter which you will find in the checklist option (It is a self-attestation that you have no problem with APS that they verify your docs) that are present in the checklist of APS (whichever applies to you whether you are graduate or postgraduate) in colored A4 size to APS address.
8) THE WEBSITE HAS MANY BUGS, TO BE HONEST, SO ONCE YOU STARTED TO FILLING OUT THE FORM PLEASE COMPLETE THE PAYMENT AND SUBMIT IT AT ONCE.
